Tai Chi (太极) is an ancient Chinese martial art known as "meditation in motion." Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi is now practiced worldwide for its health benefits, promoting balance, flexibility, and mindfulness through slow, flowing movements combined with deep breathing.
Modern Tai Chi includes various traditional styles, including Chen, Yang, Wu (Hao), Wu, and Sun. In 2020, Tai Chi was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting its cultural and physical value across generations.
